The Advisory Council of the Chambers of the Customs Union member states was established in October 2010 by decision of the heads of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia in order to increase the efficiency of mutual information exchange and resolve challenging issues raised within the Customs Union
In connection with the development of integration processes within the Customs Union and establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union, it was decided to rename it into the Advisory Council of the Chambers of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States in October 2015./p>
The main tasks of the Advisory Board are:
interaction with the Eurasian Economic Commission;
information exchange and holding consultations on topical issues of the Eurasian Economic Union functioning;
assistance to the business community representatives in solving outstanding issues related to foreign economic activity within the EAEU;
preparation of proposals for the EAEU legislation improvement
cooperation regarding the issue of certificates of goods origin;
development and improvement of the public procurement system in the EAEU member states.
As a rule, meetings of the Advisory Board are held at least once a year. /p>
The Advisory Council comprises representatives of the CCIs of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
