The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting of the BelCCI Council for Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurial Activity on the topic "The confirmation of the production of industrial goods within the territory of the Republic of Belarus".
The event was organized to discuss the issues related to the implementation of the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated February 14, 2022 No. 80 "On confirmation of the production of industrial products on the territory of the Republic of Belarus" (Resolution No. 80) and to further update this decree to make it easier for the Belarusian producers to partake in the government procurement procedures.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI Denis Meleshkin, representatives of the Ministry of Industry, heads and specialists of more than 60 enterprises and organizations (online).
Nikolai Zhukovsky, Head of the Certification and Expert Activities Department of the BelCCI, presented information on meeting the requirements of Resolution No. 80 by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as on business applications received by the BelCCI regarding the Resolution.
Igor Tsybulko, Head of the Department of Marketing, Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation of the Main Department of Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Belarus, presented to the meeting participants information on the prepared amendments to Resolution No. 80, and also explained the procedure for submitting initiatives to amend the document, taking into account industry affiliation.
In addition, representatives of Belarusian enterprises received consultations on the issues of their interest regarding the application of the Resolution and confirmation of the production of industrial products in Belarus.
Summing up the meeting, BelCCI Deputy Chairman Denis Meleshkin thanked the representatives of enterprises for their active participation in the discussion and said that the draft amendments to Resolution No. 80 prepared by the Ministry of Industry would be forwarded to the meeting participants for review.
