Business meeting of entrepreneurs of Belarus and Azerbaijan

A business meeting of the representatives of Belarusian and Azerbaijani enterprises and organizations was organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry as part of the Belarusian business delegation visit to Baku to coincide with the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhaeil Miatlikov, Vice-President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Zeynalov, heads and representatives of more than 40 Belarusian and Azerbaijani companies and organizations.

During the business meeting, promising areas of Belarus-Azerbaijan trade and economic cooperation were addressed. Representatives of the two countries' business circles held talks on developing partnerships in the areas of woodworking, industrial production and engineering, architecture and construction, food industry, and others.

At the business meeting, 12 bilateral agreements and contracts for the supply of Belarusian products to Azerbaijani partners were signed for a total amount of about $55 million.

As part of their visit to Baku, the Belarusian business delegation members also visited InterFood and Caspian Agro international exhibitions, where the national pavilion of the Republic of Belarus, demonstrating the products of 39 leading domestic food manufacturers, scientific organizations, concerns and holdings, is presented.

During the visit, the BelCCI Chairman Mikhael Miatlikov met with the Chairman of the Management Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (COBIA) Orkhan Vidadi Oglu Mammadov. M. Miatlikov and O. Mammadov discussed priority areas of bilateral cooperation, the possibility of signing an agreement on cooperation between the two organizations, as well as organizing a visit to Belarus by an Azerbaijani business delegation.

In addition, the Chairman of the BelCCI had a meeting with the Vice-President of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Zeynalov. The sides discussed further cooperation of the Chamber and the Confederation aimed at bilateral business contacts development.
