
Fr om June 30 to July 1, H.E. Mr.Ashok Kumar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus, paid an official visit to the Mogilev Region. During his visit, a meeting was held at the Mogilev branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, wh ere the branch's leadership and the Ambassador discussed priority areas for the development of Belarusian-Indian trade and economic cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the results of the "India-Belarus: Export, Import, Investment" business forum, held on June 17 in Mumbai and organized by the Mogilev branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as practical steps to expand bilateral business contacts.
During the visit, the Ambassador met with representatives of enterprises in the Mogilev Region, including those who recently visited Mumbai and organizations interested in entering the Indian market. The participants exchanged views on the results of the Indian business mission, discussed specific proposals for the supply of components and products from the region to India, and opportunities for purchasing Indian goods. Further steps to advance joint commercial initiatives were outlined.
The visit program also included visits to Technolit OJSC and Babushkina Krynka OJSC. At Technolit, the guest was introduced to modern foundry production technologies and discussed the potential for cooperation in supplying components for the mechanical engineering industry. At Babushkina Krynka, the Ambassador was introduced to the company's range of dairy products and export opportunities.
Following the visit, the parties expressed interest in continuing the dialogue and the practical implementation of the agreed-upon projects.
