Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhael Miatlikov took part in the 22nd session of the Council of Leaders of the Chambers of the CIS Member States.
The meeting was held in the format of videoconference. It was moderated by Sergey Katyrin, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. CIS Secretary General, Sergei Lebedev, sent greetings to the participants of the meeting.
Heads and representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as experts from government agencies, exhibition organizations and diplomatic missions of the CIS countries discussed the development of the congress and exhibition industry in the context of modern challenges and new opportunities, mechanisms to support interregional cooperation based on the integration of the CIS member states' chambers.
In his speech Mikhael Miatlikov detailed on the work of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the field of coordinating exhibition and fair activities in foreign states, spoke about the experience and main trends in the participation of enterprises in exhibition events and expositions abroad, the criteria for the effectiveness of holding and achieving the goals of foreign exhibitions, raised important issues related to state support for participation in exhibitions, and also spoke about the BelCCI's plans to organize expositions at international exhibitions in various countries around the world, and invited the business community of the CIS countries to international exhibition projects in Belarus this year.
The heads of the chambers of the CIS member states expressed confidence in the need to further develop inter-chamber cooperation in the field of exhibition and fair activities, exchange experience in this area, fully facilitate the participation of enterprises and organizations of the CIS countries in exhibition events in order to develop bilateral and multilateral ties between commodity producers and consumers.
In order to support interregional cooperation based on integration between the chambers of the CIS member states, the Council members agreed to intensify interaction on the formation of business delegations to organize visits to the Commonwealth countries and participate in interregional and cross-border forums and conferences, business missions and seminars, with a focus on the mandatory presence in delegations of entrepreneurs, representatives of commercial, industrial, innovative and other business structures interested in industrial cooperation.
