Astrakhan Fair has closed in Mogilev
30 August 2025

From August 27 to 31, Mogilev branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the support of Mogilev City Executive Committee Administration organized the first Astrakhan Fair in Mogilev. This was the result of an agreement between Astrakhan Region Governor Igor Babushkin and the Chairman of Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Isachenko on cooperation between regions and cities.

The fair featured a wide range of Astrakhan produce grown on Sakhib Veisov's farm, including watermelons, melons, zucchini, eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, and onions. Canned vegetables and fish products from Astrakhan producers were also on display. Sakhib Veisov also visited Mogilev and held a series of negotiations during his stay regarding potential exports of his products to the Mogilev Region.

Irina Azarova, head of the Astrakhan Foundation for Small and Medium-Sized Entrepreneurship Support, visited Mogilev during the fair. At the fair's opening, she said: "We held a fair of Belarusian goods in Astrakhan this May. We brought a wide range of products, and Astrakhan residents appreciated their high quality and variety," she said. "Following our existing agreements, we presented products from Astrakhan producers, although this is only a small selection of what we have to offer: famous Astrakhan vegetables, fish, and canned goods. I hope everyone will find a good purchase at the fair, and in the future, our products will appear in chain stores."

All products proved to be very popular with city residents, and 100% of them were sold.

We received extremely positive feedback from Belarusian buyers, with hopes that the fair will be held again next year.
