Meeting with the delegation of the Kurgan Region of the Russian Federation

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a meeting with the delegation of the Kurgan Region of the Russian Federation headed by Sergey Gavrin, Deputy Governor for Economic Policy.

The delegation included Ilya Nazarenko, President of the Kurgan Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and heads of the region's enterprises.

The delegation was welcomed by Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhael Miatlikov. He noted the readiness of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to continue actively facilitating the establishment of contacts with Russian businesses, including at the regional level, to develop inter-chamber cooperation with the aim of implementing joint projects and holding business events.

The Chairman of the BelCCI made a special emphasis on international exhibition events, speaking about the regular participation of delegations from Belarus in exhibition projects in various cities of Russia. "Every year we introduce new approaches to participation in exhibitions, present new companies and products", Mikhael Miatlikov noted. "I also encourage you to participate in large-scale exhibition and congress events in Belarus, which will be held in 2025. Many regions of the Russian Federation already come to our exhibitions, for example, BELAGRO, where there is an opportunity to get acquainted with a wide range of Belarusian products in the agricultural sector – from machinery to food foodstuffs". He also informed about the final stage of construction of the National Exhibition Center in Minsk, which will host even more large-scale events starting next year.

A wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting. There was a substantive exchange of views on the intensification of cooperation within the CCI.

On September 17, the delegation of the Kurgan Region will visit Grodno, where detailed issues of bilateral partnership development will be considered, taking into account the assignment of the Grodno Branch of the BelCCI as a coordinator of interaction with this region of Russia.
