The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bogota Chamber of Commerce (Republic of Colombia) have updated the Memorandum of Understanding concluded between the parties in 2008. The updated document was signed online by Mikhael Miatlikov, Chairman of the BelCCI, and Jose Ovidio Claros Polanco, Executive President of the Bogota Chamber of Commerce.
In order to expand trade and economic ties between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Colombia, the parties, within the framework of competence and in accordance with the role of the chambers in the economic life of their countries, intend to carry out business relations allowing to assist Belarusian and Colombian organizations and enterprises in establishing business ties and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
In particular, the memorandum stipulates that the BelCCI and the Bogota Chamber of Commerce will organize business missions to establish contacts between entrepreneurs, hold exhibitions and fairs, seminars, conferences to familiarize the business community with the economy and export opportunities of the two countries, exchange commercial offers, lists of potential partners, disseminate information about potential partners in the two countries, assist in the opening of information centers and other structures for business and trade.
